CANDIDATE PRIVACY NOTICE


Avanti Gas Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “AvantiGas”, “us” or “we) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
AvantiGas is the data controller regarding the processing of your personal data.
In applying for a position with us, you are hereby informed that we collect and process certain personal data about you.
The personal data we process

•We will process the following categories of personal data relating to you:

•The data you have provided in your curriculum vitae (CV) and cover letter.

• The data you have provided on our application form.

• Any personal data provided to us about you by any referees we may contact.


• Sources of the personal data

We collect personal data about you from the following sources:

• Directly from you.

• Your named referees, from whom we collect the following categories of data: full name, periods of previous employment, performance during previous employment.

• From publicly accessible sources, such as LinkedIn.

• From third parties helping us to recruit such as hiring firms, headhunters, external assessment providers.


Purpose and legal basis of the processing
We may process your personal data for our legitimate interests to conduct our recruitment activities and find the adequate employees for the roles that are open in our company and in particular to assess your suitability for the role, carry out background and reference checks, if and to the extent allowed under the local legislation, communicate with you about the recruitment process, keep records related to our hiring processes and comply with legal or regulatory requirements. We may also process your personal data for purposes that are required by applicable laws, regulations and collective agreements.
Data recipients
Information related to you will only be accessed by our Recruitment and HR teams, the hiring manager and potentially the external assessment firm we use in our recruitment process.
Only individuals with a relevant and tangible need to see your information will have access to it.
Due to the multinational character of the UGI Group, some information related to you may also be made available to other entities within the UGI Group, for the purpose of centralization. Some of the UGI Group companies may be in countries (including the United States) that do not provide a level of data protection equivalent to that set forth by the law in your home country.
To the extent that we transfer your personal data to recipients that are located outside the United Kingdom, we will provide an adequate level of protection of your personal data, including appropriate technical and organizational security measures and through the implementation of appropriate contractual measures to secure such transfer, in compliance with applicable law. You may request a copy of the contractual clauses used in this respect.
Data retention
We will retain your personal data for a period of 3 months after our last contact with you, unless we have agreed with you to a different specific term of retention if your application is of interest for future opportunities.
We will then securely destroy your personal data.

1. The right of access You have the right to obtain access to the information processed by us.
2. The right to rectification
3. You are entitled to have your information corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
4. The right to erasure This is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’ and, in simple terms, enables you to request the deletion or removal of your information where there is no compelling reason for us to keep using it. This is not a general right to erasure; there are exceptions.
5. The right to restrict processing
You have rights to ‘block’ or suppress further use of your information in certain circumstances. When processing is restricted, we can still store your information, but may not use it further.
6. The right to data portability You have rights to obtain and reuse your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format in certain circumstances.
7. The right to object
You have the right to object to certain types of processing, in certain circumstances.
You have the right to raise concerns to the Company or to a supervisory authority about the Company’s processing of your Personal Data. If you wish to raise concerns with the Company, please contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@ugiintl.com.
