We're looking for experienced Class 2 ADR qualified drivers to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of customer service and safety.
The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Class 2 ADR qualified drivers to join our distribution team based in Stanlow. This is an essential role within our operations, offering the opportunity to work with a team of drivers located around the UK, delivering vital energy solutions to our customers.
You will be responsible for ensuring our distribution activities are performed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and courteously. Working within a supportive team environment and reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining our excellent reputation for reliable and professional service delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
Safe Vehicle Operations
• Perform daily scheduled checks on your vehicle before commencing delivery and after completion of daily activities
• Log and report all damages and vehicle defects
• Ensure compliance with UK transport legislation regarding tachographs, driving hours, and records
• Load and discharge vehicles in accordance with prescribed HSE standards
• Ensure that no customer tank is filled to more than 85% of tank capacity
Customer Service & Delivery
• Execute daily delivery schedules to customer sites within your set radius
• Ensure properly completed meter tickets are produced, showing quantity of gas delivered
• Where possible, receive customer signatures as proof of delivery
• Check and report that all customer sites conform with safety, signage, and housekeeping standards (including paintwork, shrubbery, fences, walls) using the prescribed format
Communication & Reporting
• Communicate regularly with Logistics Planners, particularly when updating delays or disruptions to the delivery schedule
• Report vehicle overstock or understock situations
• Report all competitor activities discovered during the performance of your duties to the Area Operations Supervisor
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
Flexibility & Support
• Support and cover on-call arrangements including weekends and bank holidays
• Undertake training as deemed necessary by the company to assist in the performance of your duties
• Provide cover for colleagues as required to ensure continuous service delivery
What We're Looking For
Essential:
• Full UK driving license, including authorization for Class 2 vehicles
• Current ADR license, including Core, Tanks & Class 2
• Understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
• Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act
• Understanding of HSE risks, emergency procedures, escape routes, and fire prevention conditions
• Understanding of incident reporting and safe operating procedures

Location: Stanlow
This role requires daily travel to deliver to customer sites within a set radius, with further UK travel required to cover on-call arrangements.

• Requirement to undertake a regular health check in line with company guidance
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of on-call arrangements
